Business ideas and crop plans and budgets were presented as a capstone to Phase 1. Now on to Phase 2 at CTAHR's Waimanalo Agricultural Experiment Station where each student will farm up to 1/4 acre to produce vegetables in the root, fruit, salad, flavoring, and specialty categories. The students are excited and a bit apprehensive about the upcoming responsibilities, but have already had much discussion about working as an informal cooperative to produce the required crops. Although not yet finalized, plans are to focus on the Waimanalo community for distribution of the harvest.
The next round of GoFarm Hawaii begins with the AgCurious seminar. See the Calendar page for details!
